Well-being Day for Immigrants at Stoa, Helsinki: Free Health Checks and Health Guidance

On May 2 we’ll perform free health checks and give guidance on health matters at the Stoa Cultural Centre, in Itäkeskus, Helsinki from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m.
Our Well-being Day at Stoa is free of charge and open for all immigrants. After the health check we offer free, healthy snacks.
High blood pressure, diabetes, stroke, depression, cancer, liver and kidney problems, &c. are increasingly prevalent within the immigrant communities. Prevention is better than a cure, and regular health checks can help detect these diseases early on!
We offer free testing and guidance:
– Blood pressure
– Haemoglobin
– Body composition
– Total cholesterol
– Blood sugar

– Vitamin D and K2, calcium
– Blood pressure

We offer free guidance:
– Vitamin D and K2, calcium
If you want to have you cholesterol and blood sugar levels tested, come early and without having breakfast. You need to fast for 10-14 for the test results to be accurate.
Please note that the body composition test requires removing shoes and socks.
The health checks are available for anyone over the age of 18.
The event is organised by the HEED Finland project Health is Wealth in collaboration with the Diak University of Applied Sciences.
